Q: How does PAY-AS-YOU-GO WORK?
A: To request a 1 to 5 page document  you would need to  purchase the 1-5 page document item then follow the prompts.

NOTE:  All of the information you supply is used only to identify yourself to the web site. We will not release any of the information to any third party.

Q:  I just have a two-page letter do I have to purchase the whole 5 pages?
A:  Yes.  Our minimum requirement is  5 pages.  

Q:  What if I only have a couple of pages to dictate now but tomorrow I will have more?
A:  Your sign-on ID and password is  good for 48 hours.  You may dictate once you recieve your ID or wait until later.  You have up to 48 hours to finish up using your 5-page limit.  JUST MAKE SURE TO ENTER YOUR ORDER NUMBER WHEN PROMPTED BY THE SYSTEM FOR RECORD ID.

Q.  I have about  13 pages to dictate.  How would I purchase this?
A.  You would purchase 2 of the 1-5 page document items.  Any pages over the 10 page limit would be charged $7 per page via the credit card you used initially.

Q.  Everytime I enter in my User ID the system still prompts me for my UserID.  I can not get by this.
A.  Make sure that your User ID has not expired.  Remember you have approximately 48 hours from the time of purchase to use it. Once it is deactivated the system will not recognize it and therefore it will continue to prompt you for a valid UserID.

Q: How does the shopping cart work?
A: To get to our Shopping Cart you must click on the Telephone icon which is at the bottom of the PAY-AS-YOU-GO webpage.  At this point you will be taken right to the shopping cart where the 1-5 page document item is listed.

You may select the type of font and style for your report on this page as well as adding further specifications about the document/s that you want transcribed.

To change quantities of the items in your shopping cart, simply enter the appropriate quantity in the QTY box and click 'Update'. To remove an item, you can click the  'Remove' button or use the 'Empty Cart' button to empty the entire shopping cart. When you are ready to proceed to the check-out process, click the 'Check Out' button.

Q: What's involved in the checkout process?
A: There are 4 steps in the checkout process. Accurate completion of these steps will accelerate the processing of your order.

Step 1: Billing Information

Even though we E-Mail your documents only, we still need identification information, especially for credit card verification.  The system is set up so that the shipping and billing information are the same.  You need to only enter it once.  Please make certain that you provide a valid E-mail address and physical address (including zip code).


Step 2:  Choosing a Payment Method

At this time, we only accept major credit cards.  Select the credit card button and then select the appropriate credit card type.  

Step 3:  Review Order Summary Page

The Order Summary Page will appear once your Payment has been selected.  Please reveiw the information, if you have to make changes then click the appropriate buttons and then Click on the Place Order Button

Step 4:  Order Finalized PLEASE PRINT FINAL PAGE

Once your purchase has been finalized.  This page will appear.  At the top you will see your Sign-on ID and PIN Number as well as your Order Number below.  You must print this page as this will be the only page that will have your Signon and PIN number.  The confirmation of the order will be e-mailed to you.  You must also download the instructions which will have the toll free phone number in which you will call to begin dictating.

Q: Is it safe to order online?
A: How does a Secure Site work? In plain English here's what happens when you place an order. First, you'll notice that you enter a secure site when a padlock icon appears in the status bar of your browser (usually at the bottom). This states that all of the information passed between your computer and our computer will be encrypted. Our computer will tell your computer how to encrypt all information passed between the two using encryption that can only be decoded on our server. Your computer will do such before sending any information onto the phone wire and out onto the Internet and eventually to our computer. When it reaches our server, it will be decoded and logged to our database for processing. Without the decoding key on our server, it is nearly impossible to decipher the encrypted data.

A: ExacTrans will only refund if you decide not to use our system within the 48 hour window.

Q: Where is my order?

ExacTrans's Commitment to Privacy:

We respect your right to privacy. All information entered is kept private and not disclosed to any third party.  All documents typed are kept for 5 days and then purged from our system.  Your actual voice dictation is deleted from our server once the text document is received on your end via "acknowlege receipt feature" of ExacTrans's e-mail server.
